About Us

I’m Sahil Gupta, the proprietor and third-generation member of my family to carry forward our journey in travel and hospitality. I’m 22 years old, I feel privileged to be continuing a legacy that began decades ago, rooted in the beautiful and serene town of Umaria, Madhya Pradesh—a place blessed with fresh air, calm surroundings, and most importantly, the legendary jungles of Bandhavgarh, just a short drive from my home.

My family’s story has always been tied to this land and its people. My grandfather worked in the grocery supply sector, providing essentials to resorts and locals in the region. My father has been serving the tourism industry for over 28 years with his fleet of professional taxis, trusted by countless travelers for safe and reliable journeys. Growing up in this environment, it was almost natural for me to find my own path in the world of travel and wildlife. For me, it wasn’t just a business—it was destiny.

My personal journey began when I was barely three years old, still too young to understand the world but old enough to feel awe. I saw B2, the iconic male tiger of Bandhavgarh, one of the most famous tigers in the world. His massive frame, the piercing eyes, and that unforgettable head-on walk left a deep imprint on me. That moment sparked a love affair with tigers and the wild that has only grown stronger with time.

Over the last five years, I’ve been working professionally in safaris, tiger tracking, and hospitality, building experiences that allow people not just to see wildlife but to feel it, to breathe in the jungle’s rhythm, and to carry back stories that stay for a lifetime. Even during 2020, when the world was locked inside and the forests reclaimed their silence, I felt more connected than ever to the wilderness. That was when the idea of Vanya Prani—our wildlife expeditions-was born, a dream to bring more people into this magical connection with nature.

Today, we are serving across Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Panna, Pench, Tadoba, Satpura, Orchha, Sanjay Dubri, Khajuraho, and Varanasi, curating journeys that combine eco-friendly stays, professional fleets with expert drivers, and safaris led by experienced naturalists. Every trip is designed not just as a holiday, but as an expedition into the heart of nature, where learning and conservation walk hand in hand with adventure and comfort.

At Sahil Tours & Travels, our mission is simple but powerful—to connect as many people as possible with wildlife and nature. We believe in spreading knowledge, reducing carbon emissions, minimizing plastic use, and making expeditions affordable so that more travelers can experience the wilderness responsibly.

This is not just travel-it’s a movement. A movement to remind people that we are all part of nature, and when we protect it, we protect ourselves. I warmly invite you to be a part of our community, to walk with us, to learn with us, and to become one of the Vanya Pranis-people of the wild.

Our Goal

At Sahil Tours & Travels, our vision is to create wildlife journeys that are as kind to the planet as they are inspiring to the traveler. We believe that the magic of the forest should be accessible to everyone—not just a select few. That’s why affordability is at the core of what we do. By offering well-planned itineraries, shared journeys when possible, and partnerships with trusted local resorts, we make it easier for guests to experience India’s extraordinary wilderness at reasonable prices without compromising on quality or comfort.

But affordability alone is not enough. Tourism has the power to heal or harm, and we are committed to ensuring our presence in the jungle leaves the lightest footprint possible. Reducing carbon emissions drives many of our choices: we invest in fuel-efficient vehicles like Innova Crystas and Hycross models, encourage carpooling for safaris, and prioritize eco-resorts that share our commitment to green practices. Every decision—from the fleets we run to the partners we work with—is guided by a responsibility to reform traditional tourism into something more sustainable.

Coexistence lies at the heart of our philosophy. The tiger, the trees, the rivers, and the people of Central India are all part of one ecosystem. We actively involve local communities in our operations, creating livelihood opportunities while preserving their cultural heritage. By hiring local drivers, guides, and naturalists, we not only provide authentic experiences for travelers but also empower the communities that protect these forests every day.

Sustainability and conservation are more than buzzwords for us—they are promises. Through our Vanya Prani Vriksh initiative, we plant a tree for every guest who joins a safari, a small but meaningful step toward replenishing the very habitats we explore. We also work closely with eco-conscious resorts and guides who follow strict no-litter, no-disturbance practices to safeguard wildlife and their fragile ecosystems.

Education is an important part of our safaris. Every drive is an opportunity to inspire travelers with stories of the jungle—its struggles, its resilience, and its wonders. By helping people understand the delicate balance of nature, we hope to create more advocates for wildlife protection. Our expeditions are designed not just to showcase tigers or leopards, but to help guests witness the web of life that sustains them.

Ultimately, our goal is to redefine what a safari means in India. It’s not merely about ticking animals off a checklist or chasing sightings—it’s about feeling the heartbeat of the jungle, respecting its rhythm, and ensuring it thrives for generations to come. By choosing Sahil Tours & Travels, you become part of a movement—to coexist peacefully with nature, sustain its resources, conserve its treasures, and reform tourism into a force for good. Together, we can protect what we love, one journey at a time, while ensuring the wilderness remains wild and welcoming for all.
